"Ape House" by Sara Gruen ***

Audiobook.........A nice story. I liked the characters, but the dual story line made both feel a bit washed out to me. The whole issue of the bonobo apes and their plight was really interesting, and I wish the focus had remained on them, although clearly the author was drawing a parallel between the plight of any creature living a forced lifestyle, be it living up to the physical beauty standards in LA, or the apes living in a contrived setting.
